A Hush of Time

Time steals away, fated like grains of sand stolen by the wind

Carrying them in an all along down along dilly song

Leaving only echoes heard in the every moment of sleep or dream

Forever moments

Moments taking you to faraway shores

Beyond boundlessness beyond eternity never ending into your furthest imaginings

Melding memories and ambitious desire into the misting distance of your mind

Only a hush of time ago summer painted my face

It embraced me in warmth its brightness lightened my hair

I danced into the waves at the seas edge

I picked ripened fruit from every tree

Mirroring yesterday’s tippity tiptoe steps

Every day in every way

Summer gently fades like a lovers promise

Time pursues the slow transformation in chilling autumn colours

To await the closing shadows

The edge of darkness

The bright white icy blast
