Beware the lady from Darlington Town for it would count as almost a sin

Should you knock soft upon her door

She would be bound to let you in

Oh! But then

She will please you, kiss you, tease you

 She will bid you stay

Lay you to sleep and while you dream the night away

She will make you rue the day

Construe a way to make you pay

Slip on the noose that cooks your goose while the cats away

Beware the lady from Darlington Town Oh my there’s a nasty thought

Oh! Please don’t stand to close or hold her hand

Or life’s hard lessons you’ll be taught

Oh! But then

She will inspire you, love you, tire you

She is as hot as hell

Lay to sleep, your soul to keep close your eyes to dream

Oh yes, she’ll find a way to break your heart

The nasty little tart

So step you lightly with this darkly maid or your soul she’ll sell

Southern Boy!
