The Seat Of John Nash Esq.

Can you see it?

There, it sits in the green fields

Upon the highest point?

There it is, against the sky

Catching the light above the trees

Beyond lies the sea

Sea tied by a golden band of stones

Beyond lies the sea

With its salty chill upon the ever

Fade away green to a far blue edge

High grey stones climbing to silver

Towers and turrets watch over the small town

Elegant windows have closed their blind eyes

Doors lock in forever their last welcoming

Beside the flower gardens perfumed bloom

Beside the shadow of your southern most tower

Sleeps forever in white chalk stones

Sleeps forever in sand and shells

Sleep in forever peace John and MaryAnn

Their hound sitting sejant beside them ever

All the flowers are dying John

Whisper thistle, whisper thorn

Came then winters

Came then storms

All of those yesterdays

All of those yesterdays are somewhere

Blowing in the wind
