I know a man that walks on wheels often standing up in a sitting position

To make us laugh, think or cry

Jingle jagged poems quick fire quips tips the balance in his favour

His courage gave him light wings to fly

To the everywhere in his dreams

For him, the rise and fall of Auld Reekie gangs awry

He canna climb the steep hill to the Mile

Or smile upon the castles dark foreboding rock

He canna trip ten thousand city steps of stone

Alone

So, no more of this ‘Castle Rock’ this fortress on the hill

Edinburgh think again please understand the basic needs

For this army that walks on wheels

Robert Burns once said

That man’s inhumanity to man makes countless thousands mourn

We'll tak a cup o kindness yet

No city could be less welcoming to a man who walks on wheels
