Many Moments

Many moments make a while

Many moments long, long ago

Elongated whiling days sinking into the glowing distance

Autumn arrived impromptu on the morning tide

I felt the early chilliness in my bones

The flaking white garden gate hangs agape

Red berries in heavy abundance dance from every tree

Fallen apples lie hidden in the tall grass

Fading yellow flowers droop wearily

My leg is aching I hope it doesn’t rain today
