Raining on the Beach

It is starting to rain again

Running down my face again

Grey lace hiding the mainland

My smile stolen, carried out to sea

A ragged shingle edge

Stinging and ringing loud and clear

Shells singing in my ear

Wild white horses prancing

Dancing all ways ever

So far away

So long ago
