It’s been a long, long time, going  nowhere

Forever and so far away

There has never been a moment to stop and dream

Never thought I would awaken

It’s taken my whole life long, it’s been an age

A rage has built up within me, the world is changing

Rearranging every damn thing I have arranged day on day

War torn, well-worn and weary

Bombs fall like autumn leaves

Bodies in the  streets dead and dying

Soldiers  crying out loud, their order of the day

‘Women and Children First’

Mankind’s thirst for power knows no bounds, feels no sorrow

Not one of us here today believes in for ever or tomorrow
